POLITICAL SCIENCE AND HISTORY

SUMMARY:

The Department of History and Political Science at Vanguard University seeks applications for a full-time tenure track faculty position beginning fall semester 2012 as an Assistant Professor of political science and history.  The successful candidate will teach a variety of general education and upper division courses totaling 24 hours a year. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ph.D. or ABD in political science.
  • Political science expertise in philosophy, comparative government, international relations.
  • Ability to teach World Civilizations courses regularly.
  • Must have demonstrated teaching ability, commitment to scholarship, and ability to mentor students.
  • A person of thoughtful Christian faith who is committed to undergraduate teaching and the integration of faith and learning.
